Inpatient Addiction Treatment

Right Treatment

Not sure what form of treatment you need? Call our helpline for immediate assistance!

Opiate addiction often requires intensive, residential treatment that is best obtained in an inpatient rehab center. Inpatient addiction treatment programs require patients to physically remain in the residential treatment unit while they receive counseling, therapy, and support as well as specialized medical care as necessary. 24-hour monitoring and medical intervention is provided to ensure patient safety.

If you or someone you love is addicted to heroin, prescription painkillers or another opiate, consider inpatient treatment for help. Call 800-466-0354 ( Who Answers?) to speak with an advisor who can assist you in finding a residential rehab center that will:

  • Guide you along the path to recovery.
  • Provide emotional support in your time of need.
  • Offer medically assisted detox.
  • Provide medical intervention as needed for your comfort and safety.
  • Encourage your learning and understanding of addiction and recovery.
  • Help to rebuild your support system through family counseling, peer support, and friendly care.

During inpatient addiction treatment, you can rest assured that safety and sobriety are the primary concern. The 24-hour attention that is available in a residential treatment setting can minimize chances of relapse while improving overall recovery outcomes.

Outpatient Addiction Treatment

Providing a less restrictive treatment environment, outpatient rehab centers generally provide weekly or semi-weekly counseling and therapy to patients with less invasive addictions. For those suffering from opiate addiction, outpatient treatment is often paired with maintenance therapy such as Methadone or Suboxone to provide adequate therapy following an initial stay in a residential detox center.

Depending on patient needs, outpatient rehab centers may require involvement in treatment once, twice, three times or more per week. Some programs require a specific number of hours to be spent in treatment each week such as 6 hours or counseling or 10 hours of support, group therapy and counseling combined per week.

Outpatient treatment sessions focus on individual and group counseling, behavioral therapy, and education to help those who are addicted to understand their addiction and learn how to cope with cravings or situations that could lead to relapse. Outpatient rehab is ideal for individuals who suffer from a very mild case of opiate dependence. This treatment is also effective as an integral part of a long-term treatment program which also includes support in programs such as NA or similar 12-step groups.

Why Finding Treatment for Opioid Abuse is Important

Dual Diagnosis and Co-Occurring Disorders

Although a relatively new method of treatment for those suffering from addiction, dual diagnosis treatment programs integrate specialized care for those who suffer from addiction and are also experiencing symptoms of mental illness. These treatment programs recognize that often times addiction and mental illness overlap causing a defined need for specialized treatment that focuses on not just one or the other, but both the mental health disorder and the substance use disorder.

Finding a rehab center that provides treatment for co-occurring disorders can be challenging, especially if you currently are struggling with anxiety or depression in conjunction with a substance abuse disorder or addiction. Our treatment advisors can help you find a dual diagnosis treatment center that will effectively treat your addiction and your mental illness. Call 800-466-0354 ( Who Answers?) anytime to speak with a caring treatment specialist that can help you take the first steps towards recovery.

Long Term Treatment

Certain cases of addiction require extended care for optimal recovery outcomes. Long-term treatment programs offer 120-days or more of counseling, therapy, and group support. These programs are ideal for treating chronic opioid addictions and those that have repeatedly relapsed despite involvement in shorter term programs such as standard 90-day residential treatment or outpatient services.

Much like standard inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation programs, long-term substance abuse treatment is divided into stages to include detox, rehabilitation, and aftercare. The initial inpatient rehabilitation takes place in a residential treatment center for a period of at least 90-days and generally up to 120-days. During this time, the patient receives medical care, counseling, and support to help reduce the impact of addiction and subsequent withdrawal on his or her ability to remain abstinent.

The recovering individual will then transition into a therapeutic community for a period of six to 12 months. Also called sober living homes, sober houses or sober communities, these specialized communities are ideal for those who are having an otherwise difficult time recovering under the shorter duration, 90-day standard treatment program.

If you or someone you love has attempted recovery in residential treatment in the past and relapsed, call our free helpline at 800-466-0354 ( Who Answers?) for assistance in finding and choosing a long-term treatment program that can help. We understand how real the struggle is—we can help you get sober.

Private Treatment

Right Treatment

Yoga helps to relieve stress while in rehab.

Private rehab centers offer a step up from the standard residential treatment center or outpatient rehabilitation program. Providing exclusive opportunities to take part in gender-specific treatment, specialized behavioral counseling including anger management and family therapy, trauma resolution and alternative therapies such as art or music therapy, equine therapy, and massage, private rehab centers help patients to escape the addiction that has become their reality and build a new, positive outlook on life.

For many, private drug treatment programs evoke a sense of security that cannot be obtained in standard programs of care. Many of these programs are found in remote locations where confidentiality is easily maintained. These facilities generally provide patients with private living quarters in addition to the added amenities that may include:

  • Yoga
  • Tai chi
  • Massage therapy
  • Business services for professionals
  • Meditation sessions
  • Spa treatments
  • Hypnotherapy

If you or someone you love needs help, call 800-466-0354 ( Who Answers?) to speak with a treatment advisor who can help you choose between the various rehab options that are available in your area. Recovery and healing begins with taking the first steps and calling for help.
